Wild Guess: Goldfish Remember for Months
A goldfish has heard the three-second joke before. Red Lego, a food lever and a maze supply his correction.
He remembers dinner. And that joke.
Rory Stokes's 2008 school experiment tested a red food marker after a week without it. Earlier Plymouth lab work showed learned daily feeding times, and a later student maze project recorded recall across months with repeat tests. The experiments establish different things; goldfish memory has no universal three-second reset.
