In 1532 Thomas More compared finding one line in all of Saint Augustine's books to looking for a needle in a meadow, and an English Don Quixote later lost it in a bottle of hay. In 2014 the artist Sven Sachsalber searched a real haystack in a Paris museum by hand and found the needle after about eighteen hours.
