An old English dictionary for young beginners listed pigs that fly in the air, tails forward, as a plain impossibility. A proud newsreel follows Percy through feathers, an umbrella and a great many balloons, to the day in 1909 when the aviator John Moore-Brabazon took a piglet up in a wastepaper basket.
